Staying at least one class ahead of my students. Being a new happy home-owner (aka. poor person). Experiencing at least a little of what Indy has to offer. That sort of thing.
People who are willing to get to know me. That means you need to send me a message. Tell me about yourself. Ask questions about me. That sort of thing. Or just send me entertaining stories.
I'm the most non-judgmental person I know. I am also bad at the title/artist game...so I know a lot of music, but can't tell you what it is. In general, I like rock, pop, and classical. I tend to shy away from rap, hip-hop, and country...although, I have heard a lot of country at my bar and have found myself singing about whiskey, beer, and horses. You don't have to like something to appreciate it.
I love watching them. Anything programmed on Saturday afternoon on USA will probably get my attention. Action, adventure, slightly cheesy love stories...such as Stealing Home and The Cutting Edge...interest me. I'm willing to pay attention and think things through, but also willing to be swept away.
Yes, I watch it.
I value books. I read a ton of books when I was young. When I learned that I should be "doing things," I could no longer lose myself in the fantastical tales of great literature. I am trying to reinvent my book-loving self, but it's been over a year and I'm still reading "Infinite Jest" by David Foster Wallace.
I don't know that I've ever had one. If I had to choose someone, it would be my mom because she is way fabulous, but my dad is pretty great, too.
