About Me

"Shane Fontane is definitely on my watch list. He's got a totally unique sound and that's real important."
- Larry Tee, Mogul Electro

"I've been playing out the Heartbreaker remix at my Wednesday weekly "Robotic" in Oklahoma City and I'm planning on taking it on the road with me. It is a great bridge when mixing from bmore to electro. You can't help but dance to it."
-John Bourke of Trash Yourself

They Call Him Mister Drty Drt
Shane Fontane was born in Paterson New Jersey and was raised by his grandparents. His parents weren’t around much but when his father was home Shane would find himself creeping downstairs to watch him DJ.
He heard all of the hits from Herbie Hancock and Duran Duran to Yello and Frankie Goes to Hollywood. Afterwards, Shane would go upstairs and listen to the rap sounds of Mr. Magic on radio station WBLS. These are the moments and sounds that influenced Shane’s music the greatest – 80s, Electro and Rap.
When Shane was 13 he began writing lyrics. This is when Shane realized he was going to work his way to the life he wanted. Shane’s obsessions and dreams became his real life goals. At the age of 14 Shane became a DJ.
Shane continued to pursue rap music as his choice of production and became the local “go to” beat guy for Paterson emcees. He released his first album “Broken Bones” by Raw Flavors when he was 17.
Shane spent the next 5 years DJing in NYC at Limelight, Palladium and random house parties and raves. When his nights were not spent DJing, Shane was out networking and promoting himself to all who would listen. During the day, Shane remained busy writing music and practicing his art.
A few years later Shane enrolled in Full Sail University where he graduated with an Associates Degree in Recording Engineering. He later did internships at Subliminal Records and Chung King Studios. With advice from a popular engineer, Shane left Chung King to actively pursue writing and producing his own music instead of recording others.
Shane continues to follow this advice as he pioneers his ElectroCrunk sound under his net label, production and music publishing company – Post-Pop Music House. It's no wonder why the company motto is "DIY B!TCHES!"
You can be sure that you will hear the heavily influenced sounds of 80s and rap music in Shane’s newly defined genre - ElectroCrunk. His passion never died and his dedication never eroded.
Shane Fontane a.k.a. Mister Drty Drt is getting his music out there. Be prepared if you haven’t heard because Shane Fontane is more then just a name – he’s the man behind what your children will be listening to in the years to come.
