Left handed… Only child… Taurus… Need I say more? Born in Atlanta, GA. Grew up mostly in Santa Barbara with 3 years in Berlin West Germany (5th-7th grade). Boarding school for high school, and no, it was not all boys, nor was it military, and it was my choice to go not my parents (3 common assumptions when this comes up). Then I went to Cal, U.C. Berkeley, for college where I studied architectural design. I’ve lived in the Bay Area ever since, mostly in the East Bay, but now in the SF. Having lived abroad at an early age, I like to think I have a slightly different perspective. I’m pretty open, without a huge need to judge. There are few experiences that I would shy away from, like running with the bulls (see interests on the left). Professionally, I work in hi-tech as a product manager / user experience designer. I like it a lot, and enjoy the creative design process. I still love architecture, and have remodeled pretty much every place I’ve ever lived in, including a year long remodel of my first (and only) home after a difficult lay-off back in 2000. There are few things that I like as much as building. In fact, just recently I lucked out and had my living room get a makeover for a TV show. It started a snowball affect though, and now I’m changing my whole apartment around. Soccer would be another one of my great loves. Sadly, my body seems to be incessantly injured when I play, so my field time is limited to between recoveries. I also have a great dog named Blue. He’s a 6 year old yellow lab and is pretty much always with me. He’s very easy going and quite a crowd pleaser. I’m very direct and honest, while also thoughtful and considerate. I’m also quite forthright and convicted in what I say and do. In short, I’m a nice guy with an edge. I don’t have trouble admitting when I’m wrong, but I do strive to keep those instances to a minimum. I’m pretty considered in my speech and actions, and I know myself well, so communicating is easy, and drama does not surface.
