About Me

Hello. My name is Kelly, which comes from the Irish word for war (ceallah); it doesn't describe me well. I guess this is probably the place where I'm supposed to talk a lot about myself, but we all know that gets old, so I'm going to talk about the things and people I love. Here's a current (though incomprehensive) list of my loves: Jesus, poetry, board games, sculpture, frisbee, thai, slant rhyme, blueroom classics, names that have meaning behind them, spending time with my family, the Seattle folklife festival, good coffee, punctuation, evenings at Priest Lake (and mornings, and afternoons), reducing, reusing, recycling, encouragement, word origins and proper uses, grace, books and films that compel me, living by bodies of water, night rain, people who let others really see them, God's invitation in Song of Songs 2:10-13, the masculine heart, fireworks, dark chocolate, the knowledge that I am Christ's bride, and... you.

My Blog

déjà vu

I went to GHHS's commencement ceremony tonight, which would have turned out to be a poor life choice if I valued sleep over contemplation. My mind has been occupied a lot lately with thought...
