Born February 4, 1987 in BRIDGEPORT CT Saint was born Michael Robert Arthur Stanford, an outcast from the jump being the only Stanford born into his family once his mother became married years later. His parents were teenagers barely able to afford a child. Saint’s mother, wanting better for him, left him with his grandmother while she would attend college. Michael’s father would leave entirely from his life from an early age, leaving Michael with only a grandfather as a father figure. Coming from a very fortunate middle class family, Saint was always an out cast, looked at as the silver spoon child. Sick of being the silver spoon at school, and having no one around to teach him how to be a man, Saint became a hard headed, hot head. As he got older, he outgrew fear and was willing to fight for anything he believed in. Taking to rap with his best friend, Emeka “Neguhdiv†Herring, Michael found his place in something being a natural performer. Michael would spend summers with his celebrity step father, Patrick Ewing, and brother, Patrick Jr., performing karoke with his friends in Patrick’s basement. Michael had amazing musical talent, and showed amazing versatility in 2000 Saint moved to UPSTATE NY.Once High school hit, the out cast had grown to new levels and Saint became a lot more hot headed, and a lot more spiteful. He could be friendly, but never knew who to trust. He took his rapping to the next level with a group by the name “Disciples Of The Sypha†which consisted of him and group CPR. Michael eventually separated from the group and moved back home to Atlanta, GA with his mother. Michael became a homebody and stayed in the house when not at school, writing rhymes. Succeeding in Dramatic arts during high school, Saint’s performance skills were crafted to the level that he needed to succeed.Saint learned from the local “trappers, and his new stepfather, the ways of the streets, pimping and hustling became an area of expertise. Promising to his stepfather to always keep it gangsta, Saint immediately learned how to make beats and began writing “The Nemesis In Many Eyes,†an independent release that never seen the light of day. Saint eventually went through betrayal of crew leading to Saint’s eventual retirement from rapping.Not until he got caught up in losing everyone close, Saint, distanced from his Wreck League family and began to focus more on his talents. He enrolled into the Art Institute of Atlanta, and became known throughout as a concentrated hustler, trapper, and rapper. Known to lyrically pick other M.C.’s apart around the area, Saint built up a fury on the mic letting out all fury on any who opposed. Deciding to tone it down, Saint reverted back to being a creative and crafty songwriter. Studying the competition, and learning the Atlanta game, Saint took to his songwriting with a newly re-found passion.Saint took any influences gained throughout the years and added them to his sound, to craft an immediately classic album with the help of his reformed Wreck League crew. Each Influence was not taken for just music, but certain aspects that made them strong. Saint was influenced by the business savvy of Sean “Diddy†Combs, Dr. Dre, Jay-Z and Clive Davis. His Songwriting was influenced by Outkast, Goodie Mob, UGK, NWA, Prince, and Babyface. While his rapping came from his own stepfather and uncle, Norman Campbell and Kareem Adams, and rappers Scarface, Nas, Biggie, and 2pac. “I used to remember sitting around with my pops in the A sometimes listening to UGK and Scarface on one hand to get me through most of my day, and immediately switching up to the Isley Brothers. I always tried to keep myself well rounded, and amazing as a songwriter.â€
