Other than that...Mostly I read a lot and work on a song that I have been perfecting for the past 4 years. It's like a fine bottle of wine it gets better with age...or at least that's what I keep telling myself. I love wildlife and nature photography.
I was completing an art Masters. I think Joe, summed up my art degree experience and with "good" art best with this quote: "I made pictures like that in the 3rd grade. That was a very creative time for me, I was cutting out standard ruled paper and glueing it in different shapes all the while coloring with non-toxic magic markers. I guess this guy is on that level, I must be a feckin' artist." Now I have started a biology degree busting my ass back down to undergrad level...oh, well. I think this is best. Only a another year though...the it's off to the next post graduate program! Woo!
Another great quote that sums up my thoughts on life in urban areas: "In the West, you have bigger homes, yet smaller families; you have endless conveniences -- yet you never seem to have any time. You can travel anywhere in the world, yet you don't bother to cross the road to meet your neighbors...I don't think people have become more selfish, but their lives have become easier and that has spoiled them.
They have less resilience, they expect more, they constantly compare themselves to others and they have too much choice -- which brings no real freedom."
