About Me

“...a man writing a story is too excited about the story itself to sit back and notice how he is doing it... ” -- C.S. Lewis, "It All Began With A Picture"
DJs, dance artists, friends and fans of dance music: PLEASE, feel free to visit my lennybproductions page on MySpace! That's my "dance music" page. I'm trying to keep the "Lenny B." page limited to friends and family, "indie" artists, musicians, etc., and it's getting out of control... yikes!!! ;-)
I'm a remixer, producer, DJ, dance artist (!?!) ( BluSol and other aliases) from the Boston area who woke up one day in Atlanta (what DID happen, btw!?!); I lived there 4 1/2 years too lonnnng, and decided to pack it up and relocate to Nashville. I really like Nashville---it's a 'city' I'm told (ha!), but it has a really cool "small-town"-vibe to it, which is a nice change after being in Atlanta for so long. Da ATL is, however, a great place to visit--and shop (ahh... Lenox... Perimeter...) and eat (yum!).... oh yeah, and if you like hip-hop.... :-/... I still have great friends down there. I just don't want to live there!
I've been told by all my friends that I'm a "really nice guy" (almost "too" nice--I'm werkin' on that... heh). I'm completely straight-edge: I don't drink, smoke, do drugs. I don't need any of the above--music keeps me goin'. :-)
Words to describe me: creative, talented, shy, sarcastic, "nice guy," dark, thoughtful, laid-back, musical, always busy, romantic, emotional, mellow, wound-up, quiet, intelligent, sexy (hey, it's what I've been told! ...and she was sober, too! ha!)... shall I keep going? ;-)
I'm a bit shy and quiet at first but I'm pretty much an open book... no BS: you wanna know? Just ask me an' I'll tell ya. :-) I have a great sense of humor, though I CAN (and will, so get over it!) be rather sarcastic at times (o.k., most of the time...) I totally miss Boston--and New England, in general--but I don't want to move back home 'cuz I've been spoiled by the weather down here--no more NE winters! :-p
I work for myself, producing dance and pop remixes for the record labels in addition to releasing my own music. My most recent single, Do Ya? by my alias, Filter Factory is currently getting airplay on XM Satellite Radio's BPM channel (summer '06). My hit dance single, "I Touch Myself" , features Kristy Kay and is out on Radikal ) I'm also a DJ, currently the Friday and Saturday night resident DJ at PLAY here in Nashvegas).
A few artists I've done mixes for: Rihanna, Jewel, t.A.T.u., Britney Spears, Natasha Beddingfield, Nina Sky, Victoria Beckham (a.k.a., Posh Spice... yikes!), Kevin Lyttle, Wynona (w/ DJ Ron and Tommy D from Piper, right here in Nashville!), Kelly Clarkson and Hilary Duff; remixed, co-wrote, produced and performed on Madison Park's "Boutique" album as well as their remake of the classic Roxy Music tune "More Than This". I've also released my own album under the alias BluSol (think deep, groovy house music).
That's all for now... I won't torture "ya'll" any longer..... Maybe I'll get around to writing a blog... if I can ever find the time! ;-)

O.k., how's this: I did that stupid "Tell Me About Yourself" survey, figuring it might shine a little bit o'light and answer a bunch of useless questions about myself... enjoy!

You're Vincent! You are a nice guy who's just doin'
his job, and people can come to you for a good
conversation. You're a lot like Socrates,
really. Mostly it's just because you both die
in the end.

My Interests

I love cycling, running, rollerblading, hiking, being OUTSIDE. I LOVE playing tennis, though I am not the best @ it (2.5-3.0, on a good day!) I'm not afraid of snow (I'm from New England), so skiing and snowboarding is always fun--I tend to tumble down the mountain, however! I LOVE music (my friends are sayin', "no sh*t, really?!?)--all kinds, I'm not picky. Love movies--indies, blockbusters, "chick"-flicks, sci-fi, 80s... you name it; I love going back home to visit Boston, Cambridge, Cape Cod, da Red Sox, Dunkin Donuts--the coffee just doesn't taste the same way down "heah"... it's "wicked" good up there! ;-), Providence (East Side; Federal Hill---yummy Italian FOOD!), and, o'course, my mum's; I enjoy reading, hanging out with friends, checking out new bands, cafés, etc. :-)

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet fun people to hang out with (maybe grab some coffee @ Fido?); people to "talk shop" with (music, studios, production, etc.); someone to go cycling or rollerblading would be nice, too; people who share at least some of my interests, are fun to hang out with, and don't like to sit around all day and do nuffin'!

Tennis, anyone? :-)

Music:

You are house!

What kind of techno music are you?

Books:

I haven't read anything new in a while, but here are some of my faves: The Alchemist, The Zahir, Eleven Minutes, Veronika Decides to Die, The Valkyries---aw, hell, I'll get to the rest of Paulo Coelho's books eventually... ;-); Life of Pi; The Chronicles of Narnia; The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time; Running with Scissors; It's Not About the Bike (Lance Armstrong); anything Anne Rice; Stephen King; Clive Barker (Imajica, Weaveworld); 1984; LOTR; To Kill A Mockingbird; The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy; Catcher in the Rye; The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons; Winning Ugly; The Inner Game of Tennis; so many more... and I still need to get to those damn Harry Potter books so my friends will leave me alone.....
