If I had to choose a catagory where my greatest interests lie it would definately be the Arts & Entertaiment. Music, movies, TV & theater are all on my "to do" list. Mostly an observer in this arena I also have done my share of performing. I've acted in or directed over 30 productions. I've recently turned my attention to writing had my first play produced. I've also been know to throw down a mean Elvis in Kareoke!
I'm mainly interested in meeting women for correspondence and possible encounters. I'm looking for love like we all are but realize that takes time. I enjoy a woman who's funny and sexy. Sassy but not brassy. She should be fairly intelligent and have a good fashion sense. Long hair and perfume are a turn on...tattoos and body piercings are not.
I grew up listening to rock & roll and it's always been my first love. Lately, though, I've been listening to a lot of blues and jazz. I'm a big fan of the great vocalists of the 40's & 50's as well. Needless to say, music fills a big gap in my life!
I used to live for movies. I'd see several a week. Now I mostly wait till they're on video (Hooray for Netflix). And of course there's Turner Classic Movies for all the old, great...classics (duh!). My favorite stars: Bogey, Burt Lancaster, Al Pacino, Bruce Willis...the list goes on.
I like scripted shows over reality. Among my current favorites are 24, Lost, Prison Break, Law & Order: SVU and Desperate Housewives. I also enjoy news shows like Dateline and Primetime.
Regretfully, I don't read as much as I'd like to. I used to read a book a week when I was younger but can't seem to find the time to do so these days. I am an avid fan of mysteries and still love the classics (Chandler, Hammett, Christie, etc.). Lately, though, my reading has been reserved mostly for magazines (EW, Biography, Rolling Stone) or the occasional music/movie non-fiction book.
Heroes may be a pretty strong word to qualify the following but here are a few names whose accomplishments I admire. Music: Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Billy Joel, Van Morrison, Bruce Springsteen. Movies: Burt Lancaster, Jimmy Stewart, Robert DiNero, John Huston, Sidney Lumet. Literature: John Steinbeck, Edgar Allen Poe, Raymond Chandler, Patricia Highsmith, Agatha Christie.
