About Me

Levi Ware is one of few musicians today that is not afraid to dive deep into the human experience and truly explore life, death, love and spirituality. Raised in the Pacific Northwest, Ware grew up in a strong and loving family surrounded by nature, nurture and God (the teachings of Jesus Christ). He picked up the guitar at an early age and quickly realized he had an ear for music. At the age of 18 he recorded his first EP on a cassette tape and distributed it to friends and family receiving great praise. Soon after, he began to jam with best friend Ethan Anderson, co-founder of their first band, A Bird of Passage. Ware and Anderson spent many hours trying to mimic the sounds of Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam. However, with their musical roots in gospel, folk, Motown and rock, they began to write original material with fellow Passage co-founder Daryl Kikuchi. The sounds they delivered were unique earning them radio play and extensive touring throughout the U.S. Italy, Mexico and Costa Rica, the Styles are diverse ranging from classic rock, folk, funk, pop and soul. Three albums and a new band name later (Passage changed their name to Vast Capital in 2004), Ware decided it was time to record the album he had been thinking about since he first picked up a guitar. Dedicated to his Grandparents and greatly anticipated by those familiar with his writing, Level Yourself is an introspective look into Levi's heart and soul. Written primarily at his home in Mount Vernon, Washington and recorded in Nashville, Tennessee the song's themes weave themselves between his family, his life, his love and his God, often overlapping along the way. This is an album which brings obvious experience to the table creating a very original and well delivered sound that is timeless in its style, content and delivery.I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)

The Beatles, Paul Simon, Paul McCartney, Ethan Anderson, Daryl Kikuchi, Neil young, Ben Folds, Stevie Wonder, Stevie Barci Al Green, Billy Holliday, Travis, Coldplay, Blind Melon, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Traffic, Johnny Cash, Ryan Adams, Travis................ Sounds Like: "Most of the times the music industry can be cruel and very un-artistic, that's the reason we seek alternative music that has nothing to share with the global rubbish we are given. Levi Ware is one of those artists that, without so much fuss and industrial promotion, makes himself top over the top in this desert of modern music!!" -ArtistsAndBands.org-
