R Squared is a project that I decided to undertake In the summer of 2007. Words and Music by Randy Rektor, R Squared is an Acoustic Pop-Rock album performed in studio by a 6 piece band consisting of three guitars, bass, drums, keys, and vocals. The inspiration came from a variety of influences in my life. I decided to make it a self named CD. The two Rs are representative of my name and the squared well its squared. I was drawn in by my family into Jazz roots and thats where I developed an understanding of songwriting and music theory. The influences to my music does indeed partially come from a jazz background, however I brought out the Pop-Rock side of my mind. I have performed at several venues throughout my hometown of London, On. consisting of restaurants, halls, and small park performances. I continue to perform at basically any opportunity I can play. R2 will hopefully be coming out before the end of this spring.I will be coming out with an acoutic EP early this spring.
