...and some of my music buddies:
So who am I? Here's the answer. My name is John B. Marine (some people asked if this is my actual name, and the answer is yes). I am a young man born and raised out of America's 4th largest city- Houston, Texas. Some consider the Gulf Coast as "the third coast," and so I proudly represent this part of this great nation. When I have a chance, I try to be as charitable and helpful as I can. I really love being a gentleman to ladies. I consider myself as a person with a good heart. I've had a reputation among friends for being motivating, uplifting, resepectful to others, and things of that nature. I admit to myself that I tend to worry about things and even possess fear. Then again, when have I said I'm your average macho man who listens to rock music at high volume and like making fun of people not at my level? I'm for real. I try to reflect my personality in real life to the Internet so that I show that I'm real. I think of myself as a caring and respectful person because I hate seeing good people struggle. I try to be kind to people because I know what being unloved and disrespected is like. It's happened to me in my grade school days as well as at Lamar University. So to help others feel happy and special, I do what I can to make the world (at least around me) better. You only live once. Why not have a chance to enjoy life and make the most of each day?
Something I pride myself on is being a person willing to meet others from around the world. The city of Houston is highly diverse. I've met people from many nations and places in the time God put me on this earth. Some of the different places where I've known people in person are from include (but not limited to) Mexico, Guatemala, Cuba, El Salvador, Peru, Venezuela, Columbia, Argentina, France, Germany, Russia, Nigeria, Kenya, Vietnam, South Africa, India, Pakistan, Iran, Korea Republic, Japan, China, the Phillipines, Thailand, and Indonesia. As you can somewhat tell from my Myspace page, I'm very fond of Japanese culture and fond of meeting Japanese folk. I'd love to go to cities like Tokyo, Paris, New York City, San Francisco, Miami, perhaps Detroit, London, and places like that. Out and about, I sometimes feel like a girl at the mall. I don't go around shopping at every store until I go broke. I do like hanging out whenver I get the chance. I love meeting people. I'm a people person. I like having fun with others because I like trying to make good people feel happy and/or respected. If I'm not doing that, I'm not fulfilling my purpose on this earth.
I go to the Southeast Campus of Houston Community College. I will hopefully receive my Associate's Degree in the Arts in May 2008. Next phase of my life would be to work towards getting a Bachelor's at the University of Houston's main campus. I'd like to break into the world of journalism. An aspiration of mine is to be a motorsports commentator. My field of motorsports would be sportscar racing and road racing. Road racing appeals to me much more than ovals. I do love the IndyCar Series for oval racing (I'd love to see Danica Patrick win her first race), but I also love Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson in NASCAR. Road racing appeals to me because of the twists and turns of the courses as well as the will for road racers to combat these corners and the elements. If this doesn't work, then I'd like to try my hand at being a sports announcer to cover college football and college basketball.
I would like to try to discover as many old friends as possible from local schools like (in chronological order) Mading Elementary, Thomas Middle School, Hartman Middle School, Milby High School, H.P. Carter Alternative, my alma mater of the Middle College for Technology Careers, Lamar University, and Houston Community College. In addition, I'd like to branch out and get to know more interesting people. Are you an interesting person? Do you think you deserve a place in my Friends list? Just give me a Friend Request, I'll take a look, and if I like what I see, you're in!
You dig? Also, check out my new website that I'm working .. on the logo to enter now (I'm looking for more Guestbook comments):
--- OVERVIEW OF ME ON MYSPACE ---
Now on to basically what I do on Myspace. I don't do things like bogus surveys or whatever. I'm more of a "keep it real" kind of guy. So if you think that I am a very nice person in real life who really cares about people, then that's the kind of personality I want to carry on Myspace and elsewhere on the Internet. I'm willing to be a gentleman if you'll be noble yourself. How can I offer respect and communicate with the general public if you aren't willing to open yourself to me and be kind? I initially offered to have a mostly blank Myspace because I don't see myself as some sort of egotistical person that wildly dresses up a Myspace page like it's a tuner car. I've only experimented with as many elements as possible so that I can see my Myspace page at full song even on my dialup (56K) PC. I usually want to experiment certain things and not be overly extravagant. I'm not that person in real life, so I won't be the same on Myspace.
I'm not the kind of person who will normally make bulletins and blogs about something like spam, chain letters (for example: post this to xx people, or you will have bad luck the rest of your life, etc.), or anything like that. What I normally like to do is offer a variety of blog topics as well as make some bulletins about stuff people really want to look at not pass up as spam. I do try to warn people locally about weather conditions as well as certain special events I may be in or want people to know about. I don't want to be anyone's enemy, especially if I haven't done anything truly wrong. I don't want people leaving me because I haven't posted to them in a while. I usually try to get to as many people as possible while on Myspace. I want to be a sweet and humble person to as many kind people as possible. Just don't leave me for dead. You can love me. You can hate me. Just don't leave me. You dig?
Thank you for reading my Myspace page. Now go add me already! ^_^
