About Me

MONKEY SOUND
PEACH
At the age of 9 Peach was a non-stop radio listener, constantly listening and recording tapes with his favourite tracks in search of a genre he liked most. At the age of 12 he got to know Dough and Tilt and together they started a hiphop-mixtape collection. Together with Tilt he quickly changed taste and they were looking for a harder kind of music and ended up in the D'n'b scene. But Peach fstly noticed that D'n'b was not the only genre exsisting, in a few years Peach had collected records in many different genres like House, Techno, Lounge, D'n'b, Jungle and many more. Never really choosing one particular style to develop his mixing and producing skills, he bumped in to Ghetto-tech when he was 20. It was the birth of a new project together with Tilt, trying to develop there own style within the Ghetto-tech they're now known as Monkey Business. But they didn't stop just there, they've now got the newest Ghetto-tech booty party-concept called "Suck My Popsickle".
TILT
At the age of 6 Tilt came in touch with music for the first time, spending his first allowance on a few tapes of Bob Marley. When he got a little older he met Dough aka Don Dinero and Peach in his first first years in high-school. They started collecting hiphop mixtapes together. After a few years Tilt slightly lost intrest in hiphop so he and Dough went seperate ways in music. Tilt and Peach got in touch with D'n'b when they were 15 and 14 and Tilt saved some money for his own set of turntables to express his love for D'n'b 'longside Peach who had discovered D'n'b, while Dough expanded his knowledge in hiphop and also bought some dex to start practicing on mixing and scratchting. Quickly changing taste within D'n'b Tilt started to mix a harder kind, which reminded him of jungle. At the same time his old mate Dough had evolved from hiphop/r'n'b dj into a hardcore ragga/dancehall lover quickly building a reputation in the nightlife. Back in the days he listened to some D'n'b as well and when he got to know ragga and dancehall better he learned to know a new genre: ragga-jungle. And bought a few records in that particular genre (not really with the intention to start mixing it). When one day Tilt had just listened to too much d'n'b and got a bit sick of it, Dough gave him his few ragga-jungle records he still had in his box and ... had found his new love, only now mixing was not enough. He quickly started to produce some of his own ragga-jungle tracks using a second alias "m-prah" (www.myspace.com/mprah20hz). But soon enough... found that he was not made for just one particular style of music. After 2 years he had a box filled with records in many different genres going from d'n'b to jungle and ragga-jungle, dubstep, reggae/roots, ghetto-tech,...
Tilt soon started to coöperate in many projects. When he was still fully into ragga-jungle Dough introduced him into The Twenty Hertz Collective, a DJ/MC/Producer collective containing artists in many genres (check www.myspace.com/twentyhertzcollective for mor info).
As soon as Tilt got into Ghetto-tech he started to coöperate with Peach (a friend he used to go to d'n'b-parties with back in the days, and who started to get into Ghetto-tech 'round the same time as Tilt).
Dough aka Don Dinero digged Ghetto-tech as well and since he and Tilt share the same house and decks, mixing together was quite an obvious thing to happen. This new combo was named "Chemtoi".
