Gnosis can be traced back to the Sacto music scene since 1999 created by Daniel Morris, was later reformed in 2003 with members Michael Hidalgo and Moses Martinez formerly of (Lyniah), also joining was Matt Johnson recording the 3 track Apathy EP. After playing numerous shows and with the exit of Matthew, Gnosis soon recruited the bass talents of Michael Pratt (Velvet Jones) in the Summer of 2004 to fill the role. Soon after Gnosis began working on a LP entitled Lucid Dreams recording at Studio Jst recorders. Finishing up the sessions they began to expand and perform around the Norcal region. During October of 2005 Gnosis performed its last show with drummer Moses Martinez and did not emerge back on to the scene until April of 2006. During which they added a new drummer Curtis of (G.D.D.W.) Though this was only a test run as to a response of the new music being created, during which time lead singer Michael Hidalgo abandoned the name Gnosis to focus on taking the band into a new direction with the group entitled (A Sonnet to Era) with both guitarist Daniel and Drummer Curtis for a new cd release in early 2007.
