The full time addition of Sabine helped to invigorate and strengthen the band..s outlook, creatively and musically. DEADLOCK are extremely determined now to make an album of epic proportions with their amazing 2007 follow up album ..Wolves... This album builds upon their signature paths of virtuous keyboard overkills, bombastic orchestral sections and lead guitar-attacks of previous albums while bringing a reinforced technical approach. Combined with Sabine..s amazing and highly acclaimed voice in a full time capacity, ..Wolves.. adds a deeper dimension to their music and creates a presence that is very unique in the metal scene today.Founded in the later half of 1997, DEADLOCK took their time to find a solid line-up and the right attitude towards cultivating a sound all their own. After their first self-titled 7 Inch was released, the band gained further attention with their MCD ..I..ll Wake You When Spring Awakes.. (2000). The quintet started to include keyboards and clean female vocals to their songs during the period of their release ..The Arrival... This period saw DEADLOCK reach new levels, while establishing their own brutal and blistering metal-sound. In 2003 the split release with Six Reasons To Kill proved the bands ability to develop their skills to a higher level. CLEAN STATE
CLEAN STATE is a Metal-Band from Luxembourg playing Modern Metal, slipping occasionally slightly into Death or Thrash Metal. In Flames, Lamb Of God, Soilwork or Slipknot could be mentioned as their major influences. Their new album DEAD ANGEL FACTORY is a concept album about serial killers. This theme is treated from a psychological point of view, trying not to drift into standard serial killer-clichés. Musically, Clean State’s principal aim was to create an album that can keep on one side a certain amount of diversity through the different songs, without losing aggressiveness on the other side. All songs were arranged, recorded, produced and mixed by Clean State at Clean State Studio. Mastering was done at Cutting Room Studios, Sweden. The band has already played gigs with several well-known bands such as Machine Head, Pro Pain, Biohazard, Zuul FX, Fall Of Serenity, Demia, Black Bomb A, Crisis Never Ends, A Traitor Like Judas, Cypher, Pungent Stench.
CYPHER
Formed in late 2003 by T (vocals, guitars) and Sander (guitars), Cypher was meant to be metal redefined: brutal, complex and sick as fuck... The name “Cypher” itself is a reference to a loss of individuality, self and identity, a theme pervading Cypher’s 2003 “Forward Devolution” promo. Furthermore, the band’s name adverts to concealed meanings in both lyr- ics and music. The line-up is completed late 2004 with Frank on drums and Pioko on bass. The year 2006 sees the band inking a record deal with Rusty Cage records and releasing their debut album “Darkday Carnival”, an album that lyri- cally explores the darker side of the human condition, masked by more than 2000 years of deceit and corruption. Mixed, mastered and produced by Jochem Jacobs at Split Second Sound (Textures, In-Quest and many oth ers), “Darkday Carnival was unequivocally received in the international press as a major promise. Cypher’s debut showcases the band’s technical prow ess, mixed with relentless brutality and aggression. A searing mix of all things brutal, “Darkday Carnival” destroys and improves the standards of metal, delivering a crippling blow in the face... From the unparalleled fury in the opening track “Fortune My Foe”, to the feast of sickness in the epic closing track “Darkday Carnival”, the band’s debut album is a discourse in darkness. The album got rated one of the 10 best releases in Aardschok magazine in November, a Gold rating in Mind-view and a prominent place on Terrorizer’s “Fear Candy” cd sampler. To further drive home the message that Cypher is a force to be reckoned with, established international brands like Schecter Guitars*, Engl Amps* and In Tune Picks* chose to endorse the band even before their debut al- bum “Darkday Carnival” was released. Following the release of “Darkday Carnival”, Cypher played a multitude of shows, both at home and abroad, supporting acts like Marduk, Gorefest, Sinister, Unleashed, Sodom, Severe Torture, Death Angel and Leng T’Che to name but a few. Joost van der Graaf (bass, ex-Creepmime) is added to the ranks in 2007 and in december of the same year drummer Frank and the band part ways. While still looking for a permanent replacement, Koen Herfst(Baggabownz, ex-Epica, ex-After Forever) quickly steps in as a session member, making Cypher’s current live performance unmatched in their career, bringing crowd crippling aggression, brutality and fury to the stage.
ABSTRACT RAPTURE
ABSTRACT RAPTURE WERE FOUNDED IN MAY 2001 BY DRITTT (VOCALS), NOL (GUITARS), STEVE E. (BASS) AND STEVE R. (DRUMS). DURING 9 MONTHS, ABSTRACT RAPTURE WROTE MANY SONGS IN ORDER TO PLAY CONCERTS IN LUXEMBOURG AND THE NEARBY SURROUNDINGS. THEIR FIRST GIG WAS IN ATHUS, BELGIUM, AT THE MARIGNAN.AS THE CRITICS WERE POSITIVE, THEY KEPT PLAYING CONCERTS WITH A FEW BANDS FROM THE LUXEMBOURGISH SCENE.TWO YEARS LATER THEY STARTED RECORDING THEIR FIRST DEMO CALLED «ASPHYXIATION». THOUGH THE SOUND WAS NOT VERY SATISFACTORY (THE CD WAS RECORDED IN THE CELLAR WHERE THEY REHEARSED) IT SOLD VERY WELL AND GAVE THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO ORGANIZE MORE GIGS.TOWARDS THE END OF MAY 2003, STEVE E. AND STEVE R. DECIDED TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY. THEN ROL JOINED THE BAND ON BASS. SPIT ARRIVED ONLY AT THE END OF DECEMBER OF THE SAME YEAR. HOWEVER, HIS STYLE IMMEDIATELY MATCHED WITH THE BAND AND ALREADY TWO WEEKS LATER, THE « RAPTORS » PLAYED THEIR FIRST GIG AT THE ROX BAR IN THE GRUND, LUXEMBOURG. THE BAR GOT OVERCROWDED AS THE PEOPLE REALLY APPRECIATED THE STUFF THEY HEARD.MANY CONCERTS WERE TO FOLLOW AND STEP BY STEP, ABSTRACT RAPTURE BECAME WELL-KNOWN IN THE METAL SCENE OF LUXEMBOURG. DURING 2004 THEY PLAYED A LOT OF GIGS, WHICH CONFIRMED THEIR IRON WILL AND THEIR DETERMINATION TO PLAY METAL.IN JULY 2005, THEY ENTERED THE TIDALWAVE STUDIOS IN KARLSRUHE, GERMANY, TO RECORD THEIR 5-TRACK-EP, «DEAD END ENTRY». WHICH WAS RELEASED AT THE END OF DECEMBER 2005.MEANWHILE, YOGY, THE GUITAR PLAYER OF THE BAND SCARRED, JOINED ABSTRACT RAPTURE AS FULL-TIME LEAD AND RHYTHM GUITARIST IN ORDER TO SUPPORT NOL AND TO BRING NEW INFLUENCES IN THE BAND.IN MARCH 2007, ABSTRACT RAPTURE WON THE "WACKEN METAL BATTLE" IN LUXEMBOURG WHICH MADE THEM HEAD TO WACKEN IN AUGUST 2007 TO MAKE THE METAL WORLD EXPERIENCE THEIR UNIQUE WALL OF MASSIVE METAL SOUND.STILL IN AUGUST, ABSTRACT RAPTURE HOOKED UP WITH MADDENING MEDIA WHO STRAIGHTLY SENT THEM TO THE TIDALWAVE STUDIOS TO RECORD THEIR FULL-LENGTH ALBUM "DEMOCADENCIA".THIS MONUMENT OF MODERN AND POWERFUL THRASH METAL WILL BE RELEASED ON MARCH 21ST, 2008!
