Danish downbeat act Petrol is a collaboration between Steen Kyed and Christian Rønn. The two danish musicians combine elements from electronica, flamenco, reggae, ethnic and dub to produce their own inspired coctail of downbeat electronic music. Steen Kyed is known from "Acoustic Guitars" , "T.A.O." and is an aftersought session player in Copenhagen. Christian Rønn is known as the main producer behind Ganga and as a composer to many soundtracks. The two of them has performed together a number of times on the big danish Roskilde Festival. Performing filmscores to accompany amongst others Fritz Langs silentmovie "Metropolis". On occasion they collaborate with the danish vocalist Helle Chirholm.
