Woodworking, metalworking, power tools, art (but not weenie art, like, tough guy you might get hurt art), pizza, red meat, quesadillas, music, hurting myself for the amusement of others. I love going to see bands but most the bands I dig broke up. Between that stuff and cowboy poetry gatherings I keep pretty busy.
I think I'm good with that right now, thanks.
Against Me! and Drive-By Truckers are the only things happening right now that I'm completely behind. Recently put all my music onto itunes and its a pain to scrool through so for the last year or so I've been listening to nothing but Merle Haggard, the Misfits, Monster Magnet, and the Murder City Devils. Its all about my M section.
Dancing Outlaw, Cool Hand Luke, Bad News Bears, Emperor Of The North, The Warriors, The Wanderers, The Butcher Boy, Big Lebowski, Raising Arizona, Spinal Tap, First Blood, Taxi Driver, Wild At Heart. Good documentaries: Heavy Metal Parking Lot, The Smashing Machine, Stoked, Be Here To Love Me. I never go see movies in the theater and almost never watch anything new. There are a few others but I pretty much watch the films listed above over and over and over and...
Now that I've started watching Trailerpark Boys any other program seems like a waste of time.
White Line Fever. Its Lemmy's autobiography. Read this book and tell me he shouldn't be president. Among The Thugs by Bill Buford. Doghouse Roses by Steve Earle is a collection of his short stories and some are really good. Anything and everything by S.E. Hinton (except Taming The Star Runner, never read that one. If you have let me know.) The Butcher Boy and The Dead School by Patrick MacCabe. I'd be lying if I acted liike I read alot. Its mainly woodworking magazines and musician bios.
My grandpa Lyman Rosenlund and "Chacho" Gonzalo Mendez. I like oldschool guys that live the way they want but are best friends to everybody. Real men that are more concerned with being solid than making money. Other than them probably Brian Stannard, Jasco, Jefe, and me when we're all together. "We're on some Voltron shit!"
