Jure Doles was born on March 9, 1984 in Ljubljana. Music has always been an important part of his life thanks to his father who comes from a family of musicians. At the age of nine, he entered music school to play drums under the lead of professor Miroslav Matic. At the end of the first year, he became a member of the local wind orchestra Kovinoplastika Lo-- and thus gained valuable experience in playing drums and performing with other people.In 1998, he was invited to play percussion instruments in »YMISO« (Young Musicians International Symphony Orchestra). The young symphonists held several successful concerts in both Slovenia and abroad.Jure started playing in his first band called ROCKFIELDS while still in primary school. As a teenager, he successfully auditioned for the pop group BY THE WAY and performed on a several Slovenian music festivals like Ema (the Slovenian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest), Orion and MMS, where they also recieved the award for best new artist. When the group fell apart, he joined the pop-rock group PRINCEPS for a few months and then founded his own rock band called ROCK SHOCK.Today, he plays in a newly founded group NORD, performs with REBEKA DREMELJ and is a member of heavy metal band MARY ROSE. As a studio artist, he also records songs for other performers. Being an experienced drummer, he now passes his knowledge on the young, talented musicians.
