Lakis Laftsis was born in 1966 at Alexandroupoli,Greece.In age of twelve years began to learn bouzouki with schoolteacher Giorgos Kourbidis.Has studied theoretically also harmony in the Apollonio Conservatoire with professor Telemachus Tatsis.Has taken part in many concerts traditional and modern music, as much in Greece and also abroad, with Greek groups and orchestras, accompanying Greek singers (Giorgos Ntalaras, Yannis Parios, Harris Alexiou, Dimitra Galani, Marinella, Manolis Mitsias,Vasilis Lekkas,Melina Kana,Kostas Makedonas,Dimitri Mpasi,but also the metzzo Agni Mpaltsa) and executing musical work various Greeks and foreigners (KOEM) under his address Stavrou Xarhakou for six continuous periods (1999-2005).Has taken part in musical emissions at television as a solist.He teaches particular courses for bouzouki and other traditional instruments. Also played as first bouzouki at both beginning and expiry ceremonies of the Olympic Games,ATHENS 2004.The last years collaborates with Christos Nikolopoulos in live concerts.Lakis composed Capritsia in style of the baroque period for bouzouki and strings,and presents his virtuosity as executant,publicating his first personal CD,called Kastro-Castle.
