The band "Portrait" was formed by a bass-player George Iobashvili in Rustavi in 2003. The first members were G.Iobashvili - bass, Beso Qavtaradze - guitar/vocals, Zurab Belkania - drums. The styles of there music are instrumental rock/progressive/heard and heavy. This band differs from all other georgian dands. There are some studio and live recordings, left from 2003-2005 creative period. There were also other members who played in the band Portrait in different periods: David Sikhmashvili - drums("Friend's Fiest"), Gela Bedianashvili - vocals, David Jokhadze - guitar/vocals, Vadim Kurochkin - drums, Nodari Nozadze - guitar... The band remains unique on georgian rock-stage, because together with own compositions the repertoire included covers by Steve Vai, Billy Sheehan, Stanley Clarke, Jimi Hendrix, ELP, Manowar, M.R. Big, David Lee Roth band, etc... The band continues to work on new program. From old members only George Iobashvili still remains in the band and sometimes Beso Qavtaradze still takes parts in the work of the band. In the nearest future Portrait plans great concerts.
