Beso Qavtaradze, born 1982 in Rustavi (Georgia), got his first guitar in the age of 13. Listening to hard-rock bands like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, he begad learning all by himself. After 4-5 years of practice and developing, a 18 year-old musician became one of the best hard-rock guitarist in his town. By this time he had enough technique to play compositions of Jimi Hendrix, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, White Snake,etc. In 1999-2001 Beso Qavtaradze got his first experience on stage, performing several cover songs and instrumentals together with two invited musicians. He spend 2-3 years looking for suitable people to play together in a band, but because of changeble musical tastes he couldn't find musicians, who could satisfy his demands and began to work on himself. In 2003 he joined the band "Portrait", played on several concerts and recorded some studio tracks, showing himself a real wizard! At the same time Beso began to study theory, composition, harmony an was attracted by classics (Schonderg, Hindemith, Varese, Rachmaninov, Shostakovich, Stravinsky,etc.), indian classical music, electronic music,etc. All these had a great influence on his style. As a guitarist Beso Qavtaradze is an experimentalist, always searching for new harmony and solo structures, using different scales. His sound is always too natural (he hates to use digital effects, usin simple pedals) and agressive because of his manner. In spring 2007 Beso Qavtaradze was invited to take up the position of guitarist in georgian Progressive-Metal (Alternative-Metal at present!) band "Rema". Since March 2007 Beso has been working also as a tutor, developing his own teaching program, creating large material, useful in developing technique, improvisational skills,etc. Moreover, his Video School is being prepared to be recorded. Also he continues to work on new musical ideas.
