Dr. Chestnut is an Atlanta licensed psychologist in private practice, sole owner of Chestnut Inspirational speaking services (CISS) and Chestnut Psychological Services (CPS).
A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she is a graduate of Mount Mary College (BS in Biology) and was a hematologist and chemist for ten years before obtaining an MS in counseling from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania. Two years as a counselor at Ramapo College in Mahwah, New Jersey, motivated her to obtain her PhD from New York University in Manhattan.
In 1984, Dr. Chestnut immigrated back south to Atlanta with her two sons to start a new life and career.
