Is what he says in one of his songs and is where a lot of his schooling in the music industry evolved.
Even though Cam is only 12, he is influenced by many different artists, just to name a few, Cam was brought up listening to artists such as Michael Jackson, Prince, James Brown, Chic and Parliament. His style is unique and has a certain swagger that makes you want to bounce with him. His craft which he considers art is steady evolving daily. Now what makes Cam Cam a force is that he writes all of his own material and it is all new and a style in its own. On top of these attributes Cam also enjoys singing and dancing to R & B music.
Chris Brown, Usher and Neyo are some of his favorite artists today and add some inspiration to his music.
This talented youngster will be around for a long time and thanks to other young artists, such as Bow Wow, Lil Romeo, Lil Wayne and Kriss Kross who have paved the way for youngsters such as Cam Cam, he can now shine center stage with his dance and freestyle flow that can rock any crowd.
Some of this talented youngster’s hobbies include playing hoops with his boys, playing video games with his brothers, and watching movies with his family. His favorite movie is Life, starring Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence. His favorite TV show is Just Jordan, starring Lil J.J.
This year he has had several performances in the Bay Area. His most recent performance was for the Source Magazine Unsigned Hype Tour
in Sunnyvale where he earned a spot in the finals to perform in San Francisco, Ca. Sept 22, for the opportunity to be recognized by the Source Magazine and perhaps taking his career to the next level and an opportunity to debut in New York City.
Whatever it is this is a kid definitely on the rise and is sure to turn a lot of heads. It is astounding the music that this boy can make at such a young age. Only time will tell what awaits this motivated and self driven artist. This young artist just getting started and will be a name to remember. Cam Cam,he’s coming to your town soon.
