That's MRS. Burlingame to you! ...soon enough.

About Me

I can't really figure out how to answer this, so I'm going to offer the following insights instead...Last great book I read: "The Attractor Factor" by Joe Vitale. I LOVE this guy. He makes it sound so simple because it IS. I smacked myself in the forehead so many times while reading this book. Loved it. When I finished it, I closed it, put it down for a moment, ...then picked it right back up and turned back to page one!
Also, "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne. Really builds on the film's content. Such a great work.
Most humbling moment: Sitting helplessly watching CNN's Katrina coverage. My favorite city was drowning in horror as I drowned in tears. Devastating. I felt so small.Song or album that puts me in the mood: The dark, filthy dirty stuff by Galactic or Morphine. Then there's the smoove classic soul vibe for when the shit gets all romantical - Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin ('Never Loved a Man the Way That I Love You' KILLS me), Otis Redding, JJ Grey, etc. For the times when I feel like rockin' the tube socks and pigtails, I'm all for old Stones, Zeppelin, etc. The Nuge's 'Stranglehold' is the one, though. Makes me wanna smoke a hooter & do it in a van with no windows.Celebrity I resemble most: Actually? Me. If there's a camera around, I'll end up in front of it, resulting in many hilarious game show moments - all of which I've got on tape. The Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune, Pyramid (Rosie O'Donnell - YOU OWE ME 10 GRAND!), Pictionary, etc., etc. YouTube, here I come. Best (or worst) lie I've ever told: I do my best not to lie. Makes me nervous. If I could be anywhere at the moment: I'd either be at Tipitina's in New Orleans - ridin' the rail with my favorite band, or in the arms of the bravest man in the world . I can't live without...: (in no particular order) --
Live music the freedom to get on a plane at any given moment My car (road trips are a must) My incredible, inspirational friends and family New Orleans Jazzfest (and the food! Mango Freezes! Crawfish Strudel!) Cuteoverload.com and Dailypuppy.com Mom's hugs & Dad's dirty jokes Bradley and Tipitina Gratitude Trust and patience.
Fill in the blanks: Joking around is sexy; Meaning it is sexier. In my bedroom, you'll find: I used to have very, very red walls. They told me I was crazy, but I loved it -- my own private little bordello. Now that I'm not the only one who has to sleep in there, it's got a soothing apple green & beige spa vibe. We've worked hard to make our room beautiful - it looks like a Balinese spa retreat. I love it.And in case you were wondering why you should care about any of this in the first place, here's why you might wanna know me...
Because I absolutely won't stand for unnecessary drama in my life. Because I drive like a man. Wait, scratch that -- because I drive like a man from New York. Because I'm not afraid to make an ass out of myself for a laugh. Because I appreciate music -- from Billie Holiday to Billy Squier. (yeah, you heard me. STROKE!) Because there's really nothing demure goin' on here - I'm bold and HATE being bored. I've got a truly subversive sense of humor and a wild streak longer than John Holmes in a room full-a fluffers. Because I throw a mean party, even if I'm all by myself. Because I'll take Maxim over Madamoiselle anyday. Because I'll match you lyric for lyric when we listen to Beastie Boys ('specially Paul's Boutique) Because all my friends say I smell really nice. Because my lasagna is finally starting to taste like my mom's lasagna. (dare I say better? yeah - she ain't gonna read this!)...Because of the wonderful things she does.
Look - I'm not gonna come out here and pretend that I'm some arty, exotic intellectual who wants to talk politics while sipping merlot (though the merlot part applies. mmmm. merlot). I'm smart, but I'm also goofy as hell, and rather than hide it, I'm actually proud of it.
