About Me

I'm a professional musician who for some reason along the path to enlightenment, self-actualization and fulfillment, also became a lawyer. I play sax, clarinet, flute and am a published composer, primarily for jazz big band but small groups as well. Recent composing/arranging has been for friends' big band projects, including adding strings to old arrangements (now THAT was fun). Playing clarinet quartets with Rheuben Allen and the gang have helped remind me of my classical roots as well.

My Interests

Music, art, theater, girls, movies, girls in movies, cooking, dining out, dining in, trapezoids, an occasional rhombus, and oh so much more.

I'd like to meet:

Scott Joplin, Kate Beckinsale, Charlie Parker, Rachel Weisz, and Millard Filmore. Not necessarily in that order.

Music:

jazz, classical, big band, and anything else which I deem to be good music.

Movies:

Love movies. All kinds. Huge DVD collection. Well, they're regular size DVDs, but the collection is huge.

Books:

The Art of Learning, by Josh Waitzkin (subject of the film "searching for Bobby Fischer")

Heroes:

I'd have to say either Super Chicken or Underdog. Perhaps Spiderman.
