BOX 150503 Ogden, UT. 84415-0503Since its inception Mean Molly’s Trio has come out swinging, shaking the Utah music scene to its core; demanding an open ear and a mobbing dance floor wherever they go. Serving up a precocious blend of hometown swagger with a stupid amount of sincerity, they’re sure to get you on your feet!       While Mark Young (bass) and Clint Stanger (drums) set the stage with a straight down impressive sense of rhythm (and lavish good looks) Timm Gehrett (guitar, vocals) sets in with a rasping thunder and conviction in his voice like you’ve not heard before. Then, without remorse he sticks it to the crowd with a one handed guitar solo. Hanging his black fedora on the rusty microphone, he proceeds to twist the dagger with his mind bending speed and articulation.       With two years of practice & playing shows all over Utah ranging from, festivals, all ages venues, bars, coffee shops, a television & 2 radio stations, a living room and have successfully been kicked out of a bar for “Playing Too Loud”. They have taken an impressive amount of original songs and they’ve hit the streets again with a new, full length album, Things I See. They’ve found their groove and continue beating out what is now a break down of garage rock style with an extra measure of that abrasive blues swank we’ve all come to know and love.       The coming months are going to be very promising for the trio. With a whole suitcase full of merchandise and a ton of CDs they’ll be playing all over Utah and the surrounding states handing out their schwag to anyone with a few bills for gas. Along with performing they’re always in and out of sessions, relentlessly writing, reinventing their sound and laying down tracks for an up an coming self produced and recorded album. The trio was formed by Mark when he ran into a high school friend he had not seen in 10 years. Mark said to Timm “Hey I hate the music you listen to, and you hate the music I listen to let’s start a band.” After 2 practices Mark hooked up with Clint and asked him to play rhythm guitar and keys, to which he said no. Mark knew that he had to have Clint in this band so the next best thing was for Clint to play drums. As it turns out having Clint play drums is the best thing he could have chosen for the trio.Aside from real work, families, and school they’ve all got the fuel and passion to continue performing and pushing their music in order to make ends meet and keep you and every other body in the room out of a seat and on the dance floor where you belong! You Can Always Request MEAN MOLLY’S TRIO on KWCR (Weber States 88.1) just dial 626-8800 or Sunday nights between 8:00pm-10:00pm call X96 Live & Local with Portia a call 470, 570 or 670-9696
