From a young age, Mark has always submersed him self in music. He started to learn how to play the guitar when he was 10 years old, and soon after, at 13, he bought himself a set of belt drive turntables, a radio shack mixer, and an old stereo, at which point he started to mix anything and everything. There was something about the art of mixing that Mark found fascinating and it wasn’t long before he found a sound that would change his life forever. Born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland, Mark was surrounded by a very healthy electronic music scene. Through experiencing legendary venues like The Sub Club and The Arches, he fell in love with house and techno. Moving to Boston to play college ice hockey, Mark also brought a love for electronic music and it wasn’t long before he was a familiar face supporting local artists at nights like Bump @ the Phoenix Landing, Rise, Avalon, and the Goodlife, among others. He has since stopped playing hockey and now concentrates solely on music. Since moving to Boston he has had a radio show on Suffolk Free Radio called “Synthesis†from 2006-2007 and played at venues like Rise, The Phoenix Landing, Underbar, Caprice and Club Rebel in NYC. He is active in the studio as well, having produced a bundle of tracks already this year. Mark also buys techno and house for record and clothing store LAB in Allston. His sound could be described as deep chunky twisted techno. Mark found fascinating and it wasn’t long before he found a sound that would change his life forever.
