I'd like to see when disco ruled, Travolta wore those funky threads and every night seemed like Saturday Night Fever. Ideally, I'd wake up in a Big City hotel somewhere, but almost immediately I'd have to dress, go out and attend a secret espionage meeting; if I thought about it, I really need a big case of cash, no questions asked, and sometimes I wish I were effortless and elegant at the Tango and the Rumba. I'd like to generate fire by the power of the mind alone and it would be amazing to see the Gondola-haunted side streets of Venice just off the Grand Canal, where many an assignation has been made and many a secret courtship conducted. I'd like to find another person as playful as I want to be. Finally, I'd like a proper mixologist to make up special cocktails for all my friends and maybe I'd invite Santa Claus because he'd have all the presents. What do you wish for? http://dna.imagini.net/friends/wishes.html
I am in it for someone who is sarcastic, funny, handsome, literate, interested, intelligent, fun, open, captivating, clever, challenging, deep, musical, sexy, travelled, culinary, strong, articulate, witty, motivated, unequivocal, imaginative, driven, hungry, inspired, impassioned...I want someone who gives me an awestruck feeling of amazement, who makes me stop for a minute and reflect how fantastic and cool he is... someone who has the creativity to make courtship interesting and romantic, who makes me enjoy every minute of everyday... someone who causes me to forget the fact that life is composed of constant waiting, who makes the years feel like days, the hours like minutes and the seconds like every fleeting moment that I wish I could hold onto forever.View All Friends | View Blog | View Pics | Add Comment
My musical tastes are eclectic and ever-changing. I'm into anything to which I can dance, sing, work out, fall asleep or fall in love. I'm open to suggestions.
Movies are too hard. I'm one of those obnoxious people who either loves or hates (but mostly loves) every film I see.A couple of my favorites include Amelie (I love that Audrey Tautou,) Drop Dead Gorgeous, C.R.A.Z.Y., Le Placarde, Le Diner De Cons, Mean Girls (duh, I'm gay and totally Regina George,) Drowning Mona (highly underrated,) and Saw. I liked Saw II as well, but Saw III wasn't that great. I'm into retro horror, too, like Friday the 13th and Halloween. Classics. No zombies.
The only things to which I am addicted are Ugly Betty and Heroes. I watched Heroes during the actual season but I recently purchased season 1 of Ugly Betty and fell in love. So, from here on out, those are the shows I love. I used to be obsessed with American Idol but then it started sucking... but I'll always have the McPheever (even though Kat's album kind of blew.) I'm a game show junkie and I used to kick it quite frequently to A&E. Other than that, I'll pretty much watch what's on. Also, anything Tina Fey ever touches is gold.
I'm not as well read as I'd like to be (and for the record, I wasn't too impressed by The Great Gatsby) but if I had to compile a list of my all time favorite books on the spot I would definitely mention the following: Crime and Punishment, Palahniuk's Invisible Monsters, War Against the Animals by Paul Elliot Russell, American Psycho and The Devil Wears Prada (and I don't care what anyone says... I love Meryl and Anne but the book was way better than the movie.) I'm also quite fond of David Sedaris and there are a few Stephen King anthologies that I adore. In addtion, I started making a list of books I've read since beginning my blog some months ago, so here it is (I'll try to keep it updated):·Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows ~ J.K. Rowling ·Bad Men ~ John Connolly ·The Lake House ~ James Patterson ·Joe College ~ Tom Perrotta ·Till We Have Faces ~ C.S. Lewis ·A Sound of Thunder ~ Ray Bradbury ·Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim ~ David Sedaris ·Silas Marner ~ George Eliot ·Out of the Past: Gay and Lesbian History From 1869 to the Present ~ Neil Miller ·Everything's Eventual ~ Stephen King ·Invisible Monsters ~ Chuck Palahniuk ·Dreamworld ~ Jane Goldman ·Lullaby ~ Chuck Palahniuk ·S is for Silence ~ Sue Grafton ·Crime and Punishment ~ Fyodor Dostoevsky
Anyone who has taught me about myself and about life. Strong people who have risen to success in the face of adversity. The quiet voice who speaks in the stillness beneath the chaos and never loses its integrity. The underdog who surpasses his preceding generation with grace and valor. People who speak French.
