SCHOOL FOR ROBOTS

divining rod of rock music

About Me

School For Robots plays rock music for people. Original, danceable, and full of energy. It’s as simple as that. And we do it all in a neat 4-person package that includes Curtis Killian on electric guitar & lead vocals, Andy Tamulynas on drums & vocals, Seth Adams on bass guitar & backing vocals, and Mike Broberg on tenor sax.
Our music draws on a wide range of influences, from Frank Zappa and The Kinks to Charles Mingus and The Presidents of the United States of America. Fans even say they hear some of The Who and Queens of the Stone Age in there. Though whatever they’re hearing, people like the results. So do the Boston Herald and Boston Globe, recently featuring School For Robots in “the edge” and the “Sidekick.”
Here’s what Herald reporter Kerry Purcell had to say: “You won't hear any beeps or boops from these four young guys. Instead, they rock out with '60s-ish melodies and vocals reminiscent of The Who, then pile on Hendrix-style guitar riffs.”
When School For Robots hits the stage, we hit it hard, putting in the time to promote our shows and make sure the music is tight. But above all else we have fun, and bring the crowd right along with us.
