Imagine a warm Colombian night, the wonderful smells in the air around you and the Latin rhythms stirring your soul, making you want to get up and dance. You walk around the corner as the music gets closer and a singer/dancer without fatigue.Mesmerized, you are listening to the talents of singer/songwriter/composer , Dario Benitez. This multi-talented performer moved from South American to the United States at the young age of fourteen, when he began his road to some of the most prestigious competitions offered. Mr. Benitez has spent past year writing original music and is currently working a full CD to be released 2008.This comes with much anticipation from his fan base, which has grown in large part due to his release of several songs on the popular networking website, Myspace.com. Dario..s exposure to the public eye did not begin there, however. He started participating in local shows and in the following Salt Lake City area events: Utah Talent Competition 2004, Italian Fair 2005, and West Fest Talent Competition 2005. Dario won first place as Most Entertaining at the USA World Showcase 2004 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV, which was aired on the PAX television network. He participated at the Best New Talent Awards 2004 in Los Angeles, CA at the Century Plaza Hotel.
