Imagine a world where brothers sing in harmony, where crowds roar with laughter at jokes told in between original songs that invoke tears of joy, and where quirky cover songs attract endless “oohs†and “ahsâ€. Seems like the stuff of legend, doesn’t it? Well... that legend has come to life in the sleepy town of Omaha, Nebraska. Folks in these parts call it “Kill Bosbyâ€, and it’s coming to a stage near you. Witness the Brothers Bosby – Damon and Dane-Mychal – as they seek to redefine entertainment as we know it. Since 2003, Kill Bosby has played numerous shows, written a slew of songs, and gone through frequent lineup changes. Still these two have always remained. These two are and always will be the definition of “Kill Bosbyâ€. Check them out here for show dates as well as information on their upcoming rock n’ roll EP, “On Thursday We Leave for Homeâ€, due out by year’s end and featuring bass by Timothy A. Kill Bosby is a rock band from Omaha, Nebraska. Their music can best be described as a fusion of alternative rock, Beatles-esque pop melodies, harmonies that recall the likes of Simon and Garfunkel, and enough eclecticism to make Ween proud. The band formed in Iowa City in 2003 when guitarist/vocalist Damon Bosby approached longtime brother and vocalist Dane Bosby about finally starting a band to record and play their catalog of mostly co-written songs. Besides the Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, and Ween, some of the band's other influences include: The Who, Ben Folds, Dada, Jimi Hendrix, the Anniversary, Built to Spill, System of a Down, Butterfly Jones, and many of the singer/songwriters who emerged in the '60s and '70s. Kill Bosby released their debut record in October of 2005.
Kill Bosby loves Bill Cosby and does not wish to kill him or anyone else. Their band name is merely a spoonerism of his name.
