Citizen Erased

...Born from the ashes of fallen heroes, four men rose to new heights and adapted to an ever-changing and diverse scene before them...

In a dark corner of a Windsor bar, two men sat talking over a drink about their futures, and the state of their current situation. Those men were Justin Forsyth and Jim O'neil, and their band, Plusminus X was on its way to falling apart, and they knew it was coming. As night turned into morning they decided to venture out on their own to begin anew, and take the risk of failure. They talked about who would round out the formation of the new project, and when the topic of a drummer came about, they both thought of their old acquaintance and jam friend, Jeff Azar, formerly of Visible Soul.
On a whim, Justin called Jeff and asked if he would be interested in starting a new project. Jeff jumped at the opportunity and jam sessions quickly followed. The guys spent a few sessions writing and experimenting before Jeff enlisted the help of long-time friend and bandmate Jarrod Oglan, also formerly of Visible Soul. Jarrod rounded out the 4-piece and writing sessions became more in depth. Before they knew it they had several songs on their hands, but still no name.
They worked tirelessly, writing, rehearsing, tearing apart, and rebuilding songs until they found their sound and direction, and finally settled into a groove they could call their own. Names were thrown around, but no one could settle on one that truly fit the band. Jeff had written down an entire list of names one day, and while reading them off to Justin, he mentioned "Citizen Erased", which was inspired by a song by the band Muse. Justin's eyes shot open, and he knew that was the name. A quick band vote followed, and Citizen Erased was born.
Several months would pass while the band took its shape and form, and a complex and involving concept was drawn around them. This was no ordinary band. It was a band with a meaning, a story, and an entire world outside of its own. Teaming up with their new clothing sponsor, Dreamrane clothing, and bouncing their ideas off each other, Citizen Erased became a living, breathing entity, characterized not only by the music they played but by the world they created for themselves. One by one, the chapters were written, the stories were told, and Citizen Erased was complete.
On a cold day in November 2007, Citizen Erased took the stage for the first time, in front of a packed house. Buzz and anticipation had followed the band for months, and they did not disappoint. From the beginning notes of the now trademark "Freakshow" to the final cheers of the deafening crowd, Citizen Erased made their presence known, loud and clear. In the months that followed, they played a series of highly-successful shows, and landed a sponsorship with National Energy Drink Beaver Buzz Energy. Their over the top stage energy and persona have solidified them in the minds of their fans, and they've delivered their message very clearly: They're here to stay.
