too often things we say are not the things we do

About Me

saha.still here: old-school hardcore, straight edge, and free (from all ignorance, stupidity, absurdity, corrupts and crazy madness happening around the world be it in or from religion, races, sexes, tradition, politics and so much more). it's better to be free, right?
I'm sick of hearing people say there's lack of zines in the Hardcore scene, but we are fucking doing it, I'm still fucking writes zines these days, infact since 1995. Stop complaining, start your own zine. If you don’t want to write your own zine, then you can always help someone who’re already doing it. Just try to be active, and do something worthy for your own damn local scene. Nobody else will give a fuck about this Hardcore scene, so it’s all up to us whose in it, whose love it. Do something, or the scene will die!
To me, Hardcore is the place where you don't care about what's going on in the mainstream music scene and life in general. What's inspired me and motivated me to keep going in the HC scene is the fact that there's still people doing bands, doing record labels, writing zines, putting up shows, helping each others and so on, and don't need to look up at what's been happening on TV, don't care what's been playing on the radio, or what is the latest trend or fashion. Hardcore is DIY, Independent and Underground and that's where it should be stay, so lets keep it real. Keep the fake out of the HC scene!
TIMES STILL HERE zine is anti-sexist, anti-racist, anti-homophobic, pro-choice and supports drugfree lifestyle. Thanks!

“We feel anger and frustration when we see people in the Hardcore/Punk scene searching for arguments in order to justify major labels, big concert promoters or commercial fanzines, all of them are only in it for the money, your money. To us these persons don’t know shit about the ethics and values this scene is based on, or they just don’t care (anymore). We resent it when we see people accepting all this ‘major’ shit because they deny the fundamental idea of what Hardcore/Punk is about. Hardcore/Punk was and is meant as a counterculture based on individuality and independence. This scene exists for the fact that enthousiastic people organize shows, put out fanzines, set up distributions, etc. The moment we accept the big business mentality is the moment the scene dies! But we haven’t lost the fight yet! We see lots of people who are involved with the true underground scene. They care and try to make an effort to this scene. It’s very important to be active in one way or another, for Hardcore/Punk isn’t just a passing phase or something, it can be a way of taking part of your own life in your own hands. So stop hiding behind your record collection and do something for this scene of ours. Together we can build an alternative to the mainstream of life!!” - MAINSTRIKE, 1995
and their struggle (and ours too) goes on!
