At Home in the Universe by Stuart Koffman (AWESOME hypothesis about self organization in complex systems), Guns, Germs and Steel by Jared Diamond (about how civilization advanced quicker in some regions. Heavy but a good read), The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene (Very Heavy but a very good read), Fermat's Enigma by Simon Singh (Great book if you're a math geek and a good even if you're not.) The Tao of Physics by Fritjof Capra (The best book I've ever read), anything but Tom Robbins (read Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas twice and laughed my a** off both times), Lies and The Lying Liars Who Tell Them by Al Frankin (Very funny / insightful if your a democrat) and Dude, Where's My Country by Michael Moore (a little too thick on the conspiracies for me but he makes some good arguments)
People who are honest about there feeling and their genitalia (you go Trav).
