About Me

MyGen Profile Generator Brothers From Another (BFA) are grinding their way through the hard rock music scene one stop at a time. Quickly becoming one of the most popular road acts in years, BFA plays every show as if it was their last day on Earth. The three Keenan brothers, along with bassplayer Larva and guitarist Kenso, make fans of music lovers and believers out of elitists. When BFA performs, it is a raucous display of powerful rock songs with unforgettable melodies. The raw energy radiating from the stage affects anyone with a lively spirit, and the songs stick in your brain like candy in your teeth. It could be stated that Brothers From Another formed at the birth of three brothers, Mungus, Meaty and Ch.tei. Born and raised on music, they grew up in Hollywood, PA. (a little town modeled after the slightly more popular Hollywood, CA in the 30's). It is closer to the truth to say that the band came together when the brothers connected with bassist, Slap in early 2002. With the addition of Slap, the band started writing, practicing and performing. BFA also started to demo their songs with grammy award winning producer, David Ivory (The Roots, Erykah Badu, Silvertide).Everything was moving right along and the dream was starting to materialize when drummer Ch.tei was involved in a near fatal electrocution accident that amputated both legs and almost left him unable to play the drums. The story of his survival and his triumph over astounding odds is enough to make "VH1's Behind The Music" seem like a monotonous tedium. With Ch.tei back on the drums and the Ivory demos in hand, BFA sought out producers/engineers, Ron Allaire (Keith Richards, The Ramones, Queen Latifah, Bo Diddely) and Jonathan Mover (recorded with Fuel, Oleander, Joe Satriani). With the experience of Allaire and Mover, BFA has recorded numerous future hit tracks that have a solid, cohesive and a widely sought after sound. In May 2007, Slap had left the band, for reasons untold, after four years of touring and countless hours in the studio. The next day, Larva had joined forces with the brothers as if she was waiting patiently (behind Slap's amp) for her chance to infiltrate. Shortly after, Kenso was added to the line-up, forming what is known as the "Brothers From Another".Currently BFA tours and records consistently throughout the year. Whether at home in the northeast tearing up stages or on the road cross-country, you’ll see an animal show. BFA tours through the whole country and has quickly created followings in the NE, in the South, Texas, Southern California, and just about anywhere else they play. BFA records in Baltimore, MD with Emmy Award-winning sound engingeer and producer Jerome Maffeo whenever they are not on the road.As for the rest of the story, you'll have to wait for the book to come out. But if you happen to be driving through Northeast Philadelphia and your car gets hit with a rotten apple or ten, you're in Hollywood and the brothers are just cleaning out the yard!
