About Me

DURVIN is a jangling juggernaut of jewels and junk, a tenth-level Compu-Hobo Magnus of myriad talents and no electric guitar. Possessing the Atomic Mojo Hand, a home-made theremin, and dozens of tiny synthesizers, DURVIN has infinite hit-points and can absorb all sound, process it, and spout it out with funk adjunct. Like Devastator or Bruticus, DURVIN consists of many sub-bosses, numbering between one and eleven, each singly a formidible opponent of silence, but able to combine into the larger form we all know and love and fear. Influences: Devo, Raymond Scott, construction sites, Kraftwerk, the Futurist movement, Oingo Boingo and the orchestral works of Danny Elfman (which, with ska beats, would become Oingo Boingo), Afrika Bambaataa, NES and Sega Genesis music, musique concrete, Perrey-Kingsley, Add N to (X), Gary Numan, Front 242, Blue Man Group, Dean Elliot & His Swingin' Big Big Band!!, Stomp, space-age bachelor pad music, Neal Hefti's Batman soundtrack, and all sounds.
