Formed in 2003, after the collapse of several bands prior. The Crapps played their first show supporting The Vegas Kings and the Standing Eight Counts at the Melbourne Hotel. It was officially the hottest night on record with the minimum temperature dropping to about 31. The Crapps bumbled their way through an ill-prepared set. They then set about rehearsing lots, and writing some new songs, and by their 2nd gig, they were smokin'.
Original drummer Kev Croft left the group shortly after, to be replaced by Geoff Ernest on a very casual basis.
New drummer Ken Green joined recently, and like a duck to water, he has settled in famously. He has Crapps written all over him.
Playing their first gig in over two years recently, The Crapps are excited, and raring to have another dip at rock and roll obscurity. They are back, much to the delight of mothers and daughters alike. Recording a dynamite album is in the pipeline.
