my name is katie and i'm not in charge.

About Me

pimpyopage.com
my name is katie hughes.
i am a graduate of the best university in the country, Auburn. War Damn Eagle! magna cum laude, bitches.
i am addicted to coffee. Especially Crack from Cambridge. Once Nicole & I stayed up for like 3 days on it completely out of our minds (hence the name crack). Plus, I still think I never grew because of that summer Jessica and I drank a pot each every day when she did summerhire at Yokota. While I was in WPB I discovered Cuban Coffee... now I am officially addicted to coladas and cafe con leches.
i like to drive fast... watch out now.
i stay up late. (with no naps, mind you)
i love watch college football. especially SEC football. and i'm pretty knowledgable seeing how i only became interested in it when i moved to Auburn.
i've lived in about 9 places and have visited over 8 different countries.
i am a workaholic.
i try not to use the word "like" often. this is because of a girl who sat behind nicole and me while we were studying at taylor's bakery who used it every other word and sounded stupid. plus, you can't be up there in front of a jury saying "and then like the defendent pulled out his gun and like shot her in the head." i probably wouldn't win many cases that way.
i have a secret crush on randy travis's voice... not randy travis, just his voice. & i won't marry anyone who won't allow me to play randy travis at our wedding, even if they hate country music, its something i won't compromise.
"Later that day I got to thinking about relationships. There are those that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous." -Carrie, Sex and the City.
..
i have a puppy named mian. she is a badass.
baby mian
.. .. ..
she is 10 months old and her favorite foods are french fries, turkey and granny smith apples (she hates sweets). she can find entertainment in anything, including popcorn because its easy to bat around. she has a baby doll named "fluffy puppy" which she carries around with her every where. poor fluffy puppy had her nose chewed off so she now looks like a lamb instead of a dog. mian is a mommy's girl and constantly wants to be held and carried despite being almost the same size as her mommy. she's not aggressive but will sometimes get "huffy" when she's upset or things don't go the way she wants to go. Pretty much she's exactly like her mommy in dog form- stubborn, short, and blonde with a big ol' ghetto booty.

back from west palm beach!

My Interests

going to the beach, laying out at the pool, traveling, going dancing, cooking, taking care of mian...

Music:

I love Everything, there are not many types of music I don't like~ oldies, rap, r&b, reggae, country, alternative, punk, classical... some of my favorites- the beatles, rancid, jimmy buffet, iz, weezer, missy elliot, outkast, eva cassidy... i could go on forever.

Movies:

anything with reese witherspoon because she's my idol.
All Harry Potter movies.
Anything gross or gruesome: Se7en, Silence of the Lambs, Gothika
Princess Bride. who can resist true love?

Television:

obviously law & order and other police shows such as forensic files, fbi files, cold cases, the system... but lately its been HGTV. i like reality tv (not american idol or anything of that kind of nature) such as the real world (although this season isn't as good as past seasons).

Books:

During College it was: Getting to Yes: Negotiating without giving in by Fisher & Ury (an absolutely true book because it works); Running with Scissors by Burroughs (so funny);
Now that I'm out of college, I plan on catching up on my reading. I'm going to finally finish the DaVinci Code, the five people you meet in heaven, Portrait of a Killer: Jack the Ripper by Cornwell, and Me Talk Pretty One Day by Sedaris.
Always though, its been everything written by Anchee Min. Her words are like poetry written in prose.

Heroes:

My parents, Mike O'Neill (RIP) & every other soldier who is fighting or has given his/her life so that we can be free.
