About Me

It cannot be inherited Nor can it ever be purchased You and no one alive can buy it for any price. It is impossible to rent and it cannot be lent. You alone and our own have earned it with your sweat, blood, and lives. You own it forever. The title; United States Marine.

Music:

Marine Corps HymnFrom the halls of Montezuma, to the shores of Tripoli, We fight our country's battles in the air, on land and sea. First to fight for right and freedom, and to keep our honor clean; We are proud to claim the title of United States Marine. Our flag's unfurled to every breeze from dawn to setting sun. We have fought in every clime and place, where we could take a gun. In the snow of far off northern lands and in sunny tropic scenes, You will find us always on the job, The United States Marines. Here's health to you and to our Corps which we are proud to serve. In many a strife we've fought for life and never lost our nerve. If the Army and the Navy ever look on heaven's scenes, they will find the streets are guarded by United States Marines.

Heroes:

Graphics - Iwo Jima" target="_blank"It's the soldier, not the reporter Who has given us the freedom of the press. It's the soldier, not the poet Who has given us the freedom of speech. It's the soldier, not the politicians That ensures or right to Life, Liberty and the persit of Happiness. It's the soldier that saluts the flag, Who serves beneath the flag, And whose coffin is draped with the flag.FINAL INSPECTION The Marine stood and faced his God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shining, Just as brightly as his brass, "Step forward now!, you Marine!, How shall I deal with you? Have you alway turned the other cheek? To my church have you been true? The Marine squared his shoulders and said, "No Lord, I guess I ain't. Because those of us that carry guns, Can't always be a Saint. I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was tough. And sometimes I've been violent, Because the world is awfully rough. But, I've never took a penny, That wasn't mine!,to keep... Though I've worked a lot of overtime, When the bills just got to steep. And I never passed a cry for help, Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God, forgve me, I've wept unmanly tears. I know I don't deserve a place, Among the people here. They never wanted me around, Except to calm their fears. If you've a place for me here, Lord, It need'nt be so grand. I've never expected or had to much, But if you don't, I'll understand". There was silence around the throne, Where the saints often trod. As the Marine waited quietly, For the judgement, from his God. "Step forward now!, you Marine!, You've borne your burdens well. Walk peacefully on heaven's streets, You've spent your time in Hell".
