About Me

SKA TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION is a tour heading out in September 2007 to showcase the newest ska and punk talent emerging from the UK scene - from danceable ska punk goodness to heavy-rock-out badness, there's something for everyone and a fantastic gig promised!
Playing the SKA TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION tour:
GROWN AT HOME
GROWN AT HOME blend a dynamic, energetic and unrivalled live performance with the cutting edge of punk, hardcore and ska. Amongst the flying brass and bouncing vocalists lie contagious melodies so infectious you'll be humming them for weeks.
GROWN AT HOME exploded onto the UK punk scene in 2002 as an 8 piece ska band playing gigs up and down the country and refining their sound. In 2004 they entered the studio with producer Iain Wetherell (Capdown, Lightyear) to record their first self-titled EP, now deleted and available exclusively from the iTunes Music Store. By 2006 the band released their debut album, 'Assemble', recorded at Street Level Studios, Cardiff (The Crimea, Adequate Seven), and in 2007 embarked on their first European tour with the Voodoo Glow Skulls spanning over 30 dates on foreign soil.
Catch them at a venue near you very soon!
RANDOM HAND
From 2002 to present, Random Hand have been mashing together every influence on their collective plate to finally arrive at what you hear today - an explosively heavy yet infectiously dancey ska-punk-rap-metal mashup that The Talk Magazine describes as "Like I would imagine a Psychedelic acid trip on a crazy fairground ride; fast lights, crazy emotions, excitement, heightened senses...this band blows you away."
Driven by a love for live music, gigs and the road, Random Hand have been ripping up stages over the UK for the past 4 years, clocking up an impressive gig list while touring the 'On the March' EP.
Punktastic.com said: "When 'Tear Down' and 'Morally Blind' kick in, they're both exemplary punk rock songs that nonetheless manage to slip into other music voices seemingly at will...the transitions between light and heavy are always well-handled and steer clear of the predictable formulae that lesser bands never shy away from."
2007 heralds a new era for the band after the recent release of their debut album 'Change of Plan' on Riot Music after the band returned from supporting The Voodoo Glowskulls on their UK tour. The album can be ordered from the Random Hand Online Shop.
