Letizia Gambi

Born in Naples in the south of Italy, Letizia relocated to Como as a child where she studied acting, dancing and singing from the age of 11.Her potential was discovered early on and at just 15 years old she was offered the opportunity to work in various theatre companies as an actress, dancer and choreographer.In her late teens she studied music and dancing in London, England. Upon her return to Italy, she decided to focus her attention on a music career as well as continuing to act. Consequently she studied acting in Milan.In 2004, following 4 years of learning her craft, she graduated from the International Jazz Academy of Milan. In 2005, whilst working at the Academy as M°Laura Conti's Assistant she won a jazz master class. In addition, she studied with both Maria Pia De Vito and Tom Mc.Kinney and was the lead singer in the Gospel Choir of Civici Corsi di Jazz in Milan for 5 years.An accomplished singer/songwriter, Letizia has worked on film soundtracks and was the lead singer in the Gospel Choir of Civici Corsi di Jazz in Milan for 5 years. She is the lead singer for the Alfredo Rey Orchestra and has recorded a number of albums. Her style is diverse, ranging from Jazz, classic Neapolitan songs, swing, pop and R & B.
