Basically, my inner rhythm is R&B, soul and Jazz music. My outer expression might manifest itself in broader ranges of musical styles… Each song has its own "thing" and sometimes as a singer and song writer, you are just a tool for bringing forward that "thing". To me, each song, like each word has its own tempo, rythm and flow to it.I admire Erykah Badu, Beyonce, Jill Scott, and Stevie wonder, Boyz2men, Deangelo, Kelis, Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald and many many more.
When it turns the volume up in me, and I get that frail feeling in my knees, I know its MUSIC.
