Shirli Zafri

Shirli Zafri, singer and song writer, came from a musical family. Her parents, Miriam and Isiah Zafri were a duo for many years performing and traveling around the world. Miriam Zafri continued performing after her separation from Isiah and is still an inspiring singer. Shirli was exposed to music while she was just a fetus. Her mom performed while she was pregnant with Shirli. Shirli's musical talents are definitely contributed to her gifted parents and her extraordinary gift from God. Her parents were born in Yemen and that influence gives her a beautiful flavor to her music.Shirli, at an early age won numerous awards, always taking first place in her school's musical events. Her first experience in a recording studio was at the early age of fifteen. At age seventeen Shirly won a national contest in Israel for young and talented singers. She also did a record with her mother at age twenty one, and it was a Yemenite original piece. Shirli and her mom toured with this record in Italy and France doing festivals which includes cultures from all over the world. Over the years Shirli has been giving back ground vocals to many great artist in Israel. She performed with Dana International in 1998 in the EuroVision in which Dana won first place for Israel. Ever since then, Shirli has been writing and recording music for her record which came out in the year 2003. The name of the record is Kolatahva which consist of many great musicians. Shirli did the music production and all the melodies to Kolatahva. She also wrote the lyrics to three of the songs on the record of which two of the songs are her biggest hits in Israel. Shirli is inspired and influenced by many great singers which includes Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder. She also has a big influence from musicians all over the world.Apart from her beautiful voice, Shirli is a beautiful and talented Artist. Her personality and voice has won the hearts of many. Shirli is not only a singer, she also is a gifted writer and a very intelligent musician. Most of her melodies are created in her self made studio. Shirli would use her own voice as musical instruments and as background vocals. Her passion for music and people makes her an exceptional musician. Shirli has performed around the world and her biggest desire is to have an english album. She loves singing in english and would love to have a successful international career.
