Pedro Duane Ramos was born on August 20, 1990 in University Hospital which is now known as Shands Jacksonville. As a child, he loved to play football. He was a football star from ages 10-15 for the Pop Warner Association. Football was his life, and he often dreamed of taking it to the professional level in the future. His family life was not stable. He migrated to and from different parts of Jacksonville, and as a result, he attended many different schools. Many children disliked him because of his race; they often made fun of his Cuban roots. He was taken away from his mother, who was a drug addict and an alcoholic. His father was never around and was never there for his family. He stayed in and out of prison for long periods of time and he often spent time with different women and fathered many children. Pedro always longed for a special bond with his father, but his father did nothing but constantly talk about his past with his mother. Pedro and his father separated; his father left Jacksonville with his new family and never came back. Pedro never heard from him again. Fortunately, Pedro’s family life grew stable and he reunited with his mother and 2 sisters. He also grew close to his stepfather, who stepped in when he was just 10 years old. Even though things were not perfectly fine, the circumstances were better than before and he learned to deal with the issues within his family. At age 13, he joined Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church with his godmother. He was curious about Jesus Christ and wanted to find out more about Him. He heard a lot about Christ from his godmother, but he wanted to find Christ on his own. He wasn’t too serious about the Lord though; it was basically what everyone else was doing at the time, and he didn’t want to feel left out. During that time, he met a young lady named Ashley Wright. They grew close and started a relationship. They went to church religiously and praised God together. Shortly after, he started going down the wrong path and making unwise choices due to peer pressure. He began to smoke, drink, sell drugs, and mess around with many different girls. He hung out with the wrong crowd and together they formed a rap group called, “Pressure Squad.†The group was not too successful. They got into an altercation and disbanded. Later on, Pedro got saved at age 17 and this time, he was serious. He was ready to follow Christ the way that he should have always done. He reunited with Ashley and they’ve continued to follow Christ together ever since. Pedro is currently following the Lord religiously and he has failed to turn back to his old lifestyle. Pedro is a faithful Christian rapper and now goes by, “The Son.†His name originated from the thought of being God’s child. He recently founded his own ministry for Christ, called “Share Your Faith.†Through this ministry, God has brought forth other ministries in the body of Share Your Faith including, “Share Your Faith Clique,†“Share Your Faith Records,†“Share Your Faith Radio,†and “Share Your Faith TV.†He along with his brothers in Christ (GLO, Royalty, and King D) set out to minister the Lord’s Word. As a family, their mission is to “Teach…Learn…and Grow.†Their aim is to seek the Lord’s face and spread the gospel all over the nation through music. He is truly blessed and pleased with how God has changed his life around. He constantly reassures people of how they can turn their lives around just as he did if they just follow God’s word and have faith in the name of the Lord.
