About Me

K. Doc Burgess is a Singer, Songwriter and 12 String Guitarist from Gloucester Massachusetts. Recieving his 1st guitar at the age of 13 (made of plastic with nylon strings), that was the start of it all. His dreams of being onstage and the drive to make it happen.During his time in the U.S. Army ('83-'86), he joined forces with "The Paladins" out of N.C. on the drums. Leading off for such bands as Foghat, Molly Hatchett and yes....Vixen. Eventually KDB took over as the Lead Singer and toured between Fayettville N.C. and Daytona Fla..Returning home in '86 he tried several different musical ventures (Songwriting, D.J. and Karaoke Hosting). Finally in'99 the stage called again. KDB embarked on what he dubbed his, "Open Mic Tour" and played all over what Massachusetts calls, "The North Shore".After two successful stints with, "PHATE" and "@ LARGE", he is back to the drawing...writing board. Doing what he does best. Pouring his soul into his biggest passion...MUSIC !!! With a depth and soulful quality that can be heard through his vocal approach (likened to Joe Cocker & Bruce Springsteen) and his rythmic guitar playing as well.Keep your ears open and your hearts as well. As KDB's music speaks to and touches all.SUNDOWNER 9/18/08
