Layout made by Chaos13 at CreateBlog.com .Alice Si Daii Smith is a self-proclaimed “SanA-global girl†– having roots that run the world through Africa, America and Asia.The multi-talented, multicultural young diva, dubbed the “Thai Princess†grew up a “military brat†courtesy of her father’s career in the military. She credits the world travels associated with living mostly abroad as helping her build character and confidence.“At one time or another I was learning English, Thai, Japanese and Spanish,†Alice marveled. That diversity has helped her immensely in the entertainment field as she is equally at ease whether appearing on stage, in television commercials or as either a veejay or host of her own TV show.Drawn to the performing arts early in life, she alternated between acting, cheerleading and dancing in high school and college, hosting her first television show – the teen oriented “Kickin’ It†– at sixteen in Okinawa, Japan, where she attended Kadena High School... home of the Panthers. She also took part in the very successful Motown Review Musical that traveled Japan, in the roles of Josephine Baker, The Marvellets and Ms. Mary Wells.While at Kadena, this “Pretty Panther†prowled outside the entertainment arena long enough to earn two All Pacific Cheerleading Team honors as well as play basketball and softball.But her love remained in entertainment and because of her success with “Kickin’ It,†Alice was tapped as lead host for the weekly one-hour music video show “JAM TV†– which also aired in Japan. There she introduced up and coming music acts and interviewed and covered such stars a Monica, LL Cool J and Usher.Upon graduating from high school, Alice moved to the U.S., St. Louis where she attended Forrest Park Community College just long enough to catch the acting bug in the school’s drama department where she went on the star in many plays and once acts, with various theater companies setting the city on fire!Next it was on to Houston where she became a U.S. correspondent for Access E, the global entertainment broadband channel. While in Houston, Alice entered and won the regional Seagram Gin Veejay Search contest, advancing to the finals in the national competition.She has steadily expanded on her duties at Access E to include becoming the navigator for the weekly “Out of Japan†television program which airs in American, Europe and Africa and helming the Alice@Large entertainment column.Keeping true to one of her first loves, she is also the Head Cheerleading Coach to the elite Blue Thunder Cheerleading Squad at the prestigious Hampton University.Not one to sit on her laurels Alice recently joined the anchor team of the new weekly hip hop show, Da Circuit, and is looking to add acting in movies to her growing resume.
