Solomonic has exemplified this aspect of a true MC and Showman as well as an Underground Favorite Worldwide!- Your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper- He has brought Royalty and story-telling back to the fore front of Hip-Hop in the traditions of Great Orators such as Slick Rick, Fela Kuti( Solomon’s Cousin), King Pleasure, Miles Davis, to name a few- He was first seen in the late 90’s with the Wannabattle Squadron, formulated in the Cincinnati Studio(1998-2001) which set the mode for the new generation of Socially conscious Hip-Hop(see- Talib Kweki(Geffen Records), Hi-Tek(Baby Grande/Koch records), MOOD, GREANS,Lone Catalysts, Five Deez(K7 Distribution), Fam Gems,and King Solomonic’s many collaboration) Solomonic has now embarked on the first true release full length LP since the release of “SOLSTICE E.P.” released with the help of Dudley Perkins AKA Declaime and Groove Atttack Records -2003. Solomonic’s new long play “Sol- Itude” Has Solomon back in the thrawls of keeping real, dodging the occasional underground backpacker without an identity steez into showin off the fruits of International labor(See Discography) and Hiatus but world appeal and popularity. His swagger has grown to “OBA Status” in the Yoruba Tradition of Royal Griots left to tell the tale of society’s ills and positive moments- Solomon has recently made International waves with the success of “Livin Like Stars” feat. Fam Gemz(Piakhan and Nardo) which was featured in German based “Juice Magazine cd #60” in January /Feb. 2006 circulating to 60,000 people worldwide- The song was then featured in the French magazine “Groove Magazine # 104” in July/August 2006 circulating to 70,000 people worldwide- 2006 should be a good year!!!!!
