The Autotelics

I don't think you should talk like that

About Me

The Autotelics are a four piece alternative band from Stockport, South Manchester. The band formed in July 2007 as a song writing duo, Elliot on rhythm/vocals and Olly on bass. Later that summer Rick, lead guitar, joined the band and in september the band finally accquired a drummer and, alas, the lineup was complete.
On the 5th of November 2007 The Autotelics played their first gig in the humble surroundings sof the Thirsty Scholar. After a well recieved performance the band continued to gig around the city over the 5 months that followed, the set slowly changed and grew stronger. The venues played include Music Box, Dry Bar and Retro Bar amongst others.
The band made their first recording at the end of March 2007, The Talk Like That EP, which featured the best of the songs they have made since July 2007. The EP was recorded by Mysk's Studio. The EP can be heard here.
The Autotelics are now in the midst of writing new material ready for a June return to the stage, details of this will become clear very soon. The return will be accompanied by the probably release of a second demo, the best of the new material written which is all going swimmingly at the moment.
