Once an MC in an underground hip hop outfit, once a bassist for a loud and sexy synth-rock band, and a schizophrenic indie-rock band, and having played in various NJ noise rock/avant garde collaborations, Andrew Nine's musical background is broader than the Atlantic coast where he calls home. Now after a couple years of trying to no avail to find other musicians to work with who share in his vision, and taking a short break from writing to pursue other interests, he returns with his latest project and first solo effort "The Intelligence". A bitter-sweet and sometimes haunting blend of postrock and electro sound that grabs your heart and squeezes til it hurts just the way you like it to.
