Laughing. I LOVE laughing! I love belly laughs. Lolly-gagging, sauntering, daydreaming; dance; free stuff; thrift stores; people-watching; nature: rocks (esp big ones), mountains, waterfalls (especially the Cane Creek Cascades [at Fall Creek Falls, Tennessee], where you can slide down the falls as though they are natural waterslides), clear creeks, trees; whole foods, vegan restaurants, raw foodists (neither am I a vegan nor a raw foodist, but those types of foods and people intrigue me, and I really do love those kinds of food markets and restaurants!), music, theatre, musical theater, Christianity, philosophy, French stuff, clothes, good books, board games such as Cranium,Twister, and Who Knew?, flavored coffees and tea, traveling (I HATE airport drama, and I always seem to get involved in some form), shopping (but SCAVENGING is much more fun!), fashion, laughing, earrings! (they make the outfit), thrift stores, peacock feathers, The orange exclamation point clearance store Big Lots, extravagant southern weddings (marvelous entertainment), body massages, foot massages, Pilates, floor-barre, Lisa Lockwood's ballet class, yoga, gyrokinesis, good smells, spa treatments, dressing up (that was always my favorite game--dress-up and "fashion show")
The group of people who let Jerome Robbins fall off the stage.
Music is one of God's greatest gifts--I'd be lost without it.
Steel Magnolias, Funny Girl, Fried Green Tomatoes, The Labrynth, Singin' in the Rain, The Wizard of Oz, The Sound of Music, American Beauty, The Green Mile
I used to watch Ally McBeal with my Gran. I'd spend the summers with her in Bessemer.
The Kite Runner, "Captivating". Judith Jamison and I are kindred spirits. Her autobiography, Dancing Spirit, is beautiful. I have relished Southern masterpieces including: Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, Ya-Ya's in Bloom, Sweet Potato Queens (Thank you Julie. Thank you Uncle Ken Kenneth Jenkins), Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe (Hey Fannie Flagg!) Classics since childhood: The Grapes of Wrath, Great Expectations (Ms. Bartley I love you), The Great Gatsby, Maniac Magee, A Separate Peace
I love my teachers. I am so grateful for having my life touched by some amazing people. My heroes are creative visionaries. I think highly of Walt Disney and Jim Henson. I admire Martha Graham, Kathy Gamble, and George Balanchine. Some of my favorite entertainers are: Judy Garland, Julie Andrews, Rosalind Russell, to name a few.
