Christmas on Earth Revisited

About Me

UPDATED AUGUST 6th 2007: The March Fourth's debut album, 'Christmas on Earth Revisited,' which had been slated to appear early this Spring, was plagued by technical problems late in the recording process. The band's own tape machine broke down and on a shoestring budget took almost five months to repair. Furthermore, most of the tapes in progress were not compatible with the replacement parts and had to be reattempted completely. The album is now progressing swiftly and is closer to being finished than it has been in quite some time. In getting us back on task, credit is due to our old pal and Mother West boss Charles Newman (who is once again handling mixing duties) as well as engineer Rob Stevens (also of Mother West). Cuurently, we are breaking in our new drummer Dave Cassese, who leads Beg, Borrow & Steal and played in various defunct LI punk bands. David Moore left the band in December '06 and we wish him well with his current solo project (see our top friends). 'Christmas on Earth Revisited' (titled after an unrealizable pornographic screenplay written by child filmmaker Barbara Rubin) will be released by the end of 2007. It will contain 11 songs, 7 of which are staples from our past live sets and will be familiar to those who caught us last year, plus 4 more that were written specifically for the album (though we debuted two of those at CMJ in November). During those months when the tape machine was being repaired, the March Fourth meanwhile amassed a large repertoire of brand new, never-heard material. As a result, we will have two releases in 2008. The first, to follow closely on the heels of 'Christmas...,' will be a collection of our strongest pop-oriented material to date in the form of 7 non-album singles; a septuple-A side if you will. This will be packaged as a CD E.P. and a triple 7" vynil set. Although it will be only an E.P. it will be very substantial release and we consider it the proper 'follow up' to 'Christmas on Earth Revisited.' Our second full length will appear later next year and, without giving too much away, it won't contain any conventionally structured "songs" at all. Finally, our website and myspace will both be overhauled in the next weeks, with these horrible, ancient mp3's taken down and our forthcoming lp previewed, as well as new artwork and multimedia added. stay tuned...

Its the Dawning of a new era.

To some the idea of eternal return is old hat. To those unfamiliar, we are slightly ahead of the begining of a new era. Excitment resides in the fingertips and caution recedes to the bowels. The expan...
